Price sources

XpertMedico shows up to three kinds of price. Each is labelled on the page, so you always know which one you are looking at.
DRAP maximum retail price (MRP)
- DRAP, the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, notifies the maximum retail price of registered medicines. It is the price printed on the pack.
- XpertMedico takes this price from DRAP's published price list (or a DRAP SRO), and medicine pages show it with the date of the list. 15,783 medicines currently have a DRAP price on record.
- A store may sell below the MRP, but not above it.
Store prices
- A store price is the price a listed pharmacy or medical store has entered for its own stock, through XpertMedico's point-of-sale software or its listing.
- Only store prices are offers from a store. They can change at any time, so call the store to confirm before you go.
Lab test prices and fees
- Lab test prices are published by the labs themselves. Doctor and clinic fees come from the doctor or the practice.
- Where a lab or practice has not confirmed its own price, a page may show an estimated range instead, labelled "not confirmed by this provider". A provider's own price always replaces it.
Estimated prices
- An estimate is a general market range, never a quote, and it is clearly labelled.
- Estimates are not used in page titles, search snippets or structured data, and booking never charges an estimate.
Seeing a wrong price?
Report it through the Support Centre. Stores and labs can correct their own prices after they claim their listing. How the rest of the site is written and checked is in the editorial policy.
