Advertising Policy

Effective date: 22 October 2026.

This policy applies to all paid placements on XpertMedico: sponsored listings, banners, offers and featured products.

1.Labelling

Every paid placement is clearly labelled "Sponsored" or "Ad". Paying for an ad does not change reviews, ratings or verification badges, and it does not mean XpertMedico recommends the advertiser.

2.Review before it runs

Every ad and every new design is reviewed by XpertMedico before it shows. We may ask for changes or reject an ad. If we reject an ad, the payment is credited or refunded.

3.Not allowed

• Promotion of prescription-only medicines to the public, as restricted by the Drugs Act 1976 and DRAP rules. Ads may show the store or provider, services, timings and over-the-counter products.
• Any controlled drug, unregistered or counterfeit product, or product without the required DRAP registration.
• Claims of cures, guaranteed results, "miracle" or "100% safe" claims, misleading before and after pictures, or claims that are not supported by evidence.
• Prices above the DRAP maximum retail price, or false discounts.
• Fake urgency, impersonation of other businesses or doctors, or using another person's data.
• Ads aimed at children, or ads for tobacco, alcohol or gambling.

4.Advertiser responsibility

The advertiser is responsible for the content of the ad and for holding the licences and registrations it refers to, and must follow the provincial consumer protection laws and the PM&DC and Healthcare Commission rules on advertising by doctors and healthcare establishments.

5.Payment and cancellation

Ads are paid in advance. Once an ad is paid and active, it cannot be cancelled and no refund is given for the remaining period. It can be paused or edited on request; a new design is reviewed again before it shows. If XpertMedico cannot run a paid ad, the unused period is credited or refunded.

6.Removal

We may remove any ad that breaks this policy or the law, or after a complaint from a regulator, without a refund where the advertiser broke the policy.
