XpertMedico publishes two kinds of content: health guides written in plain language, and data pages (medicines, salts, lab tests, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, labs and doctors) built from records in our database. This page explains how both are made and how to get a mistake fixed.
Health guides
- Guides are written for people in Pakistan: local brand names, local prices in rupees, and how to find care here.
- They are general information, not medical advice. Each guide carries the medical disclaimer and tells readers when to see a doctor or call 1122.
- Each guide shows the date it was last updated. Guides link to the medicine, salt and lab test pages they discuss, so prices and lists stay current.
- When a guide has been reviewed by a registered pharmacist or a PMDC-registered doctor, the guide shows the reviewer's name, qualification, registration number and the review date. Guides without that line have not been medically reviewed.
Data pages
- Medicine pages show the brand, salt, strength, maker and the DRAP maximum retail price with the date of the price list it comes from. See price sources.
- Lists of brands for a salt, and of pharmacies, hospitals, clinics and labs in a city or area, are generated from the listings themselves. Counts on a page are the number of listings shown.
- Listings start from public information and are corrected by the businesses when they claim them. Opening hours and stock can change, so pages ask readers to call before visiting.
- We do not write uses, doses or side effects for a medicine unless that text has been checked; pages without it simply leave the section out.
Estimates are labelled
Where no store or lab has entered a price yet, some pages show an estimated range. It is always labelled as an estimate, is never a quote, and is never charged at booking.
Advertising
Paid placements are always labelled "Sponsored". Advertising is governed by the advertising policy.
Reviews
Reviews are written by visitors and moderated under the chat and review policy.
Corrections
If something on XpertMedico is wrong (a price, a phone number, timings, a closed business or a mistake in a guide), tell us through the Support Centre or the contact page. Businesses can fix their own details by claiming their listing.
